    Adi Wallach, LMSW (she/her)

    Psychotherapist

I see myself as an explorer. I’ve traversed many emotional, physical, and sexual landscapes, and I work every day to make peace with who I am. That ongoing journey led me to earn my Master’s in Social Work from NYU Silver School, where I deepened my commitment to helping others navigate their own paths toward healing, wholeness, and self-awareness.

I enjoy working with people around personal growth, identity and transitions, adulting and life challenges, relationships, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have extensive experience supporting LGBTQIA+ communities, providing gender-affirming care, and working with religious trauma, substance use, harm reduction, and codependency. I especially enjoy working with clients exploring queerness, self-definition, and recovery from oppressive systems. Additionally, in today’s world, the constant presence of technology, social media, and 24/7 access to information deeply shapes how we relate to ourselves and others. Part of the therapeutic process is exploring how our wants, needs, and desires are influenced by this modern digital landscape, and how we can build more authentic relationships with ourselves and those around us.

My clinical style is warm, direct, and grounded in unconditional positive regard. I draw from Psychodynamic, Relational, and Strength-Based approaches, while incorporating elements of CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. In therapy, we’ll look not only at your personal story but also at how larger systems, including racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, and classism, have shaped it.

As a queer clinician, I bring both professional and lived experience into the room, and I strive to co-create a space that is affirming, curious, and nonjudgmental.

Outside of therapy, I love exploring the city, visiting galleries and film screenings, attending poetry readings and live music, and spending time with friends. I try to find at least one new experience every day. As your potential therapist, I look forward to the experience of getting to know who you are — and supporting you through meaningful change, growth, and transformation.
