    PAINT~STRETCH~PLAY : An Artistic Adventure

    Nosara, Costa Rica • January 11-16, 2020

Join us for 6 magical days painting landscapes in one of the most beautiful natural settings in the world – Nosara, Costa Rica!

PAINT:  Master Artist, Sonya Sklaroff, will guide us in the fundamentals of plein air landscape oil painting while empowering us to listen to our artistic voices within. Two 3-hour painting excursions each day to different stunning mountain, beach and jungle locations.

STRETCH: We’ll start each morning with gentle yoga and mindfulness meditation to awaken our senses and tap into our creative core. Evenings will end with a special meditation or silent jungle walk.

PLAY: A host of adventure activities will be available each day: surfing lessons, horseback riding, zip lining, and stand up paddling. Or you may choose to spend time relaxing on a secluded beach or beside our lovely pool.

Whether you’re a serious artist or you’ve never painted before, start your year being inspired from the inside and out! Paint, stretch, play with us in our own jungle wonderland.

GUEST ARTIST: Sonya Sklaroff has been a professional artist in New York City for 27 years and a professor at Parsons School of Design for 20. Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums and public and private collections around the world. Sonya received her BFA in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design and holds an MFA in painting from Parsons School of Design.

What our retreat participants have to say:

“Between art with Sonya and yoga with Ricki, along with a sisterhood I never expected, Paint-Stretch-Play was amazing from beginning to end. Getting to experience horseback riding on the beach, daily meditation, howler monkeys, sunsets that took my breath away, and the chance to slow down, shift gears, share stories, and grow within myself, made this a trip I will never forget. I will definitely go again-anywhere-anytime. It nurtured my soul!”

    -Tedi, psychotherapist

I can honestly say the retreat was life changing for me. I had never done yoga before nor painted (since doing it by the numbers as a kid) yet loved every minute of every session. I returned home healthier, happier, with a new outlook and a new passion. I am now 2 months home and can’t imagine my life without yoga in it! Thank you Ricki and Sonya for your skilled leadership and compassionate instruction.

    -Billy, accountant/lawyer

“Words cannot describe the magic of Paint-Stretch-Play! Gorgeous landscapes to paint, incredible yoga studio for us to stretch and breathe! Super fun adventures shared with new friends! Horseback riding, ziplining, surf lesson. Each one a blast! But I think my favorite moment of all was when a group of us did kundalini yoga IN the ocean WHILE the sun set! Did I say magic? Can’t wait to return!!”
