    Honoring Mind, Body and Spirit

    Welcome!

    We’re so glad you’re here!

We are a team of dedicated psychotherapists who uniquely integrate talk psychotherapy with somatic psychotherapy and/or creative arts therapies to help you reach, embody and live your goals. Whether you choose to work with us in traditional (talk) Psychotherapy, Somatic Therapy, Dance-Movement Therapy, Yoga Therapy, Mindfulness, Art Therapy, or an integrated combination, our aim is to provide you a refuge to express, explore and embrace your deepest truths, gain clarity and build resilience, find balance and direction, and be able to feel more at home in your body and in your life. Our aim is to help you live more authentically and at ease, with more courage and connection, more peace, presence, purpose and passion.

During these uncertain times, with anxiety, depression, loneliness, and grief chipping away at us, getting extra support is especially vital. Honoring and engaging ALL of you – mind, body and spirit – is not just a luxury, but paramount for creating and maintaining health, healing and wholeness.

    Inclusive

    Affirming

    Welcoming to All

Primary for us is to create with you a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, held and understood. An inclusive, anti-racist, culturally humble, LGBTQ+ celebrating, welcoming-to-all environment is step one for effective psychotherapy. We profoundly honor the full spectrum of diversity that makes up the human race.

Welcome to our practice! We are accepting new clients for telehealth and in-person psychotherapy. We work exclusively with adults. We are here for you and would be honored to join you on your path.

We look forward to meeting you!

    MIND

    Talk Therapy

Having a safe space to explore, express, and get support from someone who is there for you each week can bring relief, new insights, and healing for mind, body and spirit.

    BODY

    Dance Therapy

    ~

    Yoga Therapy

Somatic psychotherapies allow us to tap into the wisdom of the body to explore, experience and integrate unconscious material stored deep within to effect profound change.

    SPIRIT

    Art Therapy

Art Therapy engages the creative source inherent in each of us, enhancing the therapy process when words alone are not enough. Each session becomes a natural unfolding of discovery.

Let's connect online and get started!

    Ricki Grater, Owner/Director (she/her)

Hello and welcome! I’ve created Grater Therapy Group to offer a spectrum of holistic psychotherapies to address the growing need for quality and affordable mental health care. I’ve brought together a group of skilled, empathic, interactive and passionate psychotherapists who I trust to give their utmost care and expertise to each of their clients. As Clinical Director, I am hands-on (behind the scenes) and oversee every client’s progress. Please explore all we have to offer!

As for me, in addition to being a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW), I am also a dance-movement therapist and yoga therapist, with decades of training in traditional talk psychotherapy, somatic psychotherapies and creative arts therapies. So our work together may include mindfulness practices, meditation, breathing exercises, body-based explorations, embodied parts work, or yogic technologies in addition to talk psychotherapy. My clinical experience spans over 25 years and I have worked with the full-range of issues that adults may face. Whatever your goals and aspirations, I will bring my presence, compassion, and wisdom to help you reach them.

Thank you for visiting our site and if it feels like a good fit, reach out today to connect with one of our therapists.

I believe that positive growth and change are possible for all people and that the unique therapeutic relationship forged between client and therapist is at the heart of successful therapy...

    THE GUEST HOUSE

This being human is a guest house.
    Every morning a new arrival.

    A joy, a depression, a meanness,
    some momentary awareness comes
    as an unexpected visitor.

    Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
    who violently sweep your house
    empty of its furniture,
    still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
    for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.

    Be grateful for whatever comes.
    because each has been sent
    as a guide from beyond.
