    Honoring Mind, Body and Spirit

    Welcome!

    We’re so glad you’re here!

We are a team of highly skilled psychotherapists who uniquely integrate talk therapy, somatic psychotherapy, and creative arts therapies to support health, healing, and deep personal transformation. Whether you choose to work with us in traditional talk therapy, somatic psychotherapy, yoga therapy, dance and movement therapy, art therapy, or a personalized combination, we will provide you a sanctuary of guidance and support, where you can express and explore your deepest truths; gain clarity and build resilience; find balance and direction; feel less alone; and more at home in your body and in your life. Over the past thirty years, we have helped hundreds of clients live more authentically and at ease, with more courage and connection, purpose and passion.

We support clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, identity, trauma, loneliness, relationship challenges, career, purpose and meaning, as well as those simply striving to grow into the next inspired version of themselves.

Many of the people we work with have accomplished a great deal professionally, personally, or financially, yet find themselves yearning for something deeper. You may be seeking clearer direction, better alignment with your values, a richer sense of purpose, or a more grounded and authentic connection with yourself and others. Our approach helps you move from doing to being, from expectation toward fulfillment, clarity, and inner coherence.

In these uncertain times, when pressure and disconnection weigh heavily on so many, getting support is not indulgent; it is vital. Honoring and engaging all parts of you – mind, body & spirit – is paramount for cultivating genuine health, healing and wholeness.

    Inclusive

    Affirming

    Welcoming to All

Primary for us is to create with you a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, held, understood, and celebrated. An inclusive, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, culturally humble, LGBTQIA+ welcoming-to-all environment is step one for effective psychotherapy. We profoundly honor the full spectrum of diversity that makes up the human race.

Welcome to our practice! We are accepting new clients for telehealth and in-person psychotherapy. We work exclusively with adults and would be honored to join you on your path.

We look forward to meeting you!

    MIND

    Talk Therapy

Having a safe space to explore, express, and get support from someone who is there for you each week can bring relief, new insights, and help you forge new paths for mind, body and spirit.

    BODY

    Somatic Therapy

Somatic psychotherapies allow us to tap into the wisdom of the body to explore, express, experience and integrate unconscious material stored deep within to effect profound change.

    SPIRIT

    Art Therapy

Art Therapy engages the creative source inherent in each of us, enhancing the therapy process when words alone are not enough. Each session becomes a natural unfolding of discovery.

    Ricki Grater LCSW, Owner/Director

Hello and welcome! I’ve created Grater Therapy Group to offer a spectrum of holistic psychotherapies to address the growing need for quality and affordable mental health care. I’ve brought together a group of highly skilled, empathic, and passionate psychotherapists who I trust to give their utmost care and expertise to each of their clients. As Clinical Director, I am hands-on (behind the scenes) and oversee every client’s progress. Please explore all we have to offer!

As for me, in addition to being a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW), I am also a dance-movement therapist and yoga therapist, with decades of training in traditional talk psychotherapy, somatic psychotherapies, creative arts therapies and yogic healing traditions. So we are able to incorporate in our work together, alongside traditional talk therapy, meditation and mindfulness practices, experiential exercises, somatic movement and body-based explorations, parts work, and technologies from yogic traditions. My clinical experience spans almost 30 years and I have worked with the full-range of issues that adults may face.

Thank you for visiting our site and if it feels like a good fit, reach out today to connect with one of our therapists.

    Meet our Psychotherapists

    THE GUEST HOUSE

This being human is a guest house.
    Every morning a new arrival.

    A joy, a depression, a meanness,
    some momentary awareness comes
    as an unexpected visitor.

    Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
    who violently sweep your house
    empty of its furniture,
    still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
    for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.

    Be grateful for whatever comes.
    because each has been sent
    as a guide from beyond.
