Kris Rodriguez, LCAT (they/them)
Psychotherapist/Creative Arts Therapist
(Currently not taking new clients)
I Received a Masters in Art Therapy and Creativity Development from Pratt Institute in 2005 and continued on for post graduate training in Dance-Movement Therapy. More recently I’ve added yoga and meditation to my work and have been teaching Kundalini yoga and meditation since 2018. I am forever in awe with how the creative process and the body’s wisdom continue to provide guidance and inspiration for self-connection, reflection, and healing along one’s path.
I’ve been hard at work in the helping field for 20 years so I have extensive experience with a variety of clients from the very young to those who may no longer remember their age :). I’ve worked in psychiatric, substance abuse, residential & juvenile facilities with people who possess a wide range of intellectual and physical abilities and those dealing with the full spectrum of life challenges and mental health concerns. I have taught and trained human service professionals since 2012. In 2020, I was honored to assist in the Costa Rica Retreat, Paint-Stretch-Play: An Artistic Adventure, teaching afternoon Kundalini Yoga and evening meditations. And am delighted to be part of Grater Therapy Group!
Whatever your reasons for coming to therapy, my aim is to meet you where you’re at while helping you get to where you want to be. I will continue to work virtually only and look forward to meeting you virtually!
When not working, I’ll likely be in nature with my 4-leggeds or my 2-leggeds!
